My Lovely Best Friend

‘Friend’ is common nowadays as it have been used by everyone and anyone no matter the age nor skin colour. The concept of ‘friend’ holds an important role in our social life similar to the ‘family’ concept, as such, we can’t live without neither of it. A friend is where we share our thoughts, emotions and problems. Each and everyone need a friend for companionship as it had not been for them, our social lives would’t complete.

There is an old saying that a friend in need is an friend indeed.A true friend is the one, whom always by our side to lend their hands whether we are in trouble or not. If a friend that turns away when asked for a hand, its an undeniable fact that he or she is not consider as friend.

I have a lot of friends but amongst them, there is one particular individual I considered her as my closest and bestfriend. Her name is Nur Sophia Ardini. She is from Terengganu. She is, without a doubt, a fierce one but once she is in the good mood, she will change to her ‘happy-go-lucky mode’ of some sort. Sophia is 18 years old and wear this big round pair of spectacle. She is a bit of a nerd when it comes to study. Her hobby is to take selfies.  I mentioned that she loves to take selfies so much, she considered it as a daily routine as such before, after and even while eating or doing her homework and studying.

She too has a bad attitude, which is, loves to fart no matter when nor where. She will just simply fart and walks away with her innocent smile, leaving the stinky smell behind.
I’ve known Sophia since we’re in Form 1  SMK Kampung Jawa. At that time, she is the closest friend to me. I loves her so much because of her deeds in helping and teaching me such as teaches me Bahasa Melayu since I’m really bad with it.But in some of the times, she need to head back to Terengganu due to family issues. I felt some kind of lonely at that moment. So, because I really misses her, I planned with my mother to moves to Terengganu and study there. As for where I stayed while studying there, of course I stayed under the very same roof with Sophia.

Sophia’s mother is an angel indeed. Taking care of my charity as any loving and doting mother would do. I considered her mother as my foster-mother. I really love Sophia’s family as I loves Sophia. Ocassionally, Sophia and her mother teach me about Islam and I even put on hijab some of the time.even at this very moment, I only befriends with friends that are Malay.
Sophia and I shares a lot of memories together. We even sleep, eat, having fun and not to mention crying together.

Other than that, in the past where SPM is around the corner, Sopia and I planned to continue our study at the same college and with God’s will, what was before just a plan now became a reality. Sophia and I wish that in the distant future, both of us will become successful in studies and friendship as in the old saying that goes, ‘blood is thicker than water’.
